Are Compton-thin AGNs Globally Compton Thin?

We select eight nearby AGNs which, based on previous work, appear to be Compton-thin in the line of sight. model with MYTORUS their broadband X-ray spectra from 20 individual observations $Suzaku$, accounting self-consistently for Fe K$\alpha$ emission, as well direct and scattered continuum matter finite column density solar abundance. Our configuration allows us measure global, out sight, equivalent hydrogen separately that For 5 (in 3 AGNs) we find global is fact $\gtrsim 1.5 \times 10^{24}$cm$^{-2}$, consistent distant scattering being Compton-thick. a fourth AGN, 2 are also Compton-thick, although large errors. Some these have been reported host relativistically broadened emission. Based our modeling, emission not resolved all but two $Suzaku$ observations, data can fitted models only include narrow line.
